Comprehensive Exam

This Comprehensive Exam is administered at the discretion of the Dean of Theology to certain ThD candidates who might bypass the MTS degree without commensurate graduate credits.

The exam consists of four sections:
Scripture
Sacraments and Liturgy
Moral Theology
Systematic Theology

Each section has a number of essay questions, some are short essay questions and can be answered in a paragraph. A few questions will require a longer answer. These will be noted. The sections are designed to be completed in 2 hours each.

Here is the class outline:

1. Scripture

2 hrs

You have 2 hours to complete this section of the exam.

2. Sacraments and Liturgy

2 hrs

You have 2 hours to complete this section of the exam.

3. Moral Theology

2 hrs

You have 2 hours to complete this section of the exam.

4. Systematic Theology

2 hrs

You have 2 hours to complete this section of the exam.
